Interview with Christian Elliker

He has been working for Brütsch/Rüegger Metals for over 16 years and is head of Digital Channels / Process and Quality Management

Fondue or raclette?
I prefer raclette, because there are more ways to vary the Pfändli according to your mood and the accompanying table grill is something wonderful.

Is the glass half full or half empty?
For me, it depends on the target state: if it needs to be empty, it's already half empty, if it needs to be filled, I see it as already half full.

How would you describe your working style?
I always try to keep the context and the goal of the work in mind. This helps me to concentrate on the essential aspects and thus to deal with the job efficiently.

Which personalities do you get along best with?
I like people who communicate at eye level and express their needs in a clear and understandable way.

What do you like most about your job?
Communication with colleagues from all departments is central to my job. On the one hand, I appreciate formal communication, but I also enjoy informal exchanges.

What can drive you up the wall?
I have trouble with defensive attitudes towards new things, for example when people don't bother to understand detailed and/or repeated, well-intentioned explanations.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
In fact, I would probably be overwhelmed at first and spend part of the winnings on useless technical items and a nice sports car. The rest of the money I would invest sensibly. Despite everything, it would be important for me to stay down-to-earth and continue my life in the same style.

Are you sure about this?
