Threaded Rods

Métafram sintered bearings are porous, lubricant-containing plain bearings made of bronze BP 25. The rotating shaft extracts lubricant from the pores by a suction effect, which is sucked back into the Büchse by capillary action after the shaft has come to a standstill. Since the oil cannot be lost through the circuit, Métafram sintered bearings are self-lubricating.

General properties
Métafram sintered bearings are porous, lubricant-containing plain bearings made of iron FP 20. The rotating shaft extracts lubricant oil from the pores by a suction effect, which is sucked back into the bushing by capillary action after the shaft has come to a standstill. Since the oil cannot be lost through the circuit, Métafram sintered bearings are self-lubricating.

Spanabhebende Bearbeitung

Métafram standard bearings are produced in large series and are very inexpensive. It is therefore advantageous to provide for the standardized sizes at the design stage. However, if special dimensions are required, they can be produced by machining. The running surfaces must not be ground or rubbed, as this would block the pores that transport the oil. Sintered metals can be machined with carbide (K10/K20). Cutting speed 140-200 m/min. During machining, there is a loss of oil, which can be compensated by subsequent re-machining. On request, we will be happy to send you the detailed information sheet on the machining of sintered parts

Strength classes

Métafram sintered bearings are used in the following fields of machinery and consumer goods industry: Machine tools, textile machinery,
packaging machinery, printing machinery, agricultural machinery, vehicles, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, household appliances, electric hand tools, electric motors, Bürom machinery, toys, medical equipment, optical equipment, reduction gears, etc.

Nachtränken

After machining, the bearings must be placed in an oil bath heated to 80°C for one hour and then allowed to cool. The same oil that was used for the original impregnation must be used for the final impregnation

Spezialtränkung

For the use of the bushing outside the temperature range of -5° to +90°C we offer other lubricant impregnations as special production. Please ask us.

Sonderabmessungen

Dimensions that are outside the standard range, we can supply manufactured according to your drawing. Smaller quantities are machined as described above. For larger series, suitable tools are produced and the prices are then as interesting as for the standard sizes

Sonderlegierungen

For exceptional stresses, namely for very high loads, Métafram has special alloys. We are happy to offer you these.
